As for doing okay, You have now topped Gone With The Wind for me. I have probably watched your slide show seven times and never tire of it. It is Wonderful and I always see something new.

Thank you, everyone, for your comments! I'm a little late in responding since I was away at IWC, as you can see by my latest post. The experience of Silvia's workshop was difficult to express in words, but from your reactions I guess I did ok in my efforts. I wish you all could have been there, it was extraordinary!

Hi Lyn. I enjoyed reading your blog essay. What a fantastic workshop! I was reminded of all the colour exercises in Itten's book, I did many of them as well as lots form The Art of Colour, which is the most beautiful, but sadly exensive book.Debbie.

I'm so excited for you - WHAT AN EXPERIENCE! I was attracted to her book immediately when introduced to tapestry because she is a violinist. It seemed to right to be a fan of one who combines music and weaving. I had no idea the depth of the combination until I read the book. Her talent seems independent of both the violin and the weaving. I love it! Looking forward to seeing what you do with it!

loved all the beautiful photos. I have serious camera skill envy, as well as totally green over your week in California, I had forgotten the allure of the California coast. What a wonderful week

I was the September 2010 Artist in Residence for Grand Canyon National Park's North Rim, & I am currently weaving a tapestry depicting a life size condor for the North Rim Visitor Center. This is a chronological image record of my creation process. For more details, click on each image.
